Salone Del Mobile 2009 While studying abroad in Lund, Sweden a few classmates and I decided to take a trip to Milan for the “Salone del Mobile” or International Furniture Fair. It was quite an adventure — we decided to camp out, in a Swedish tent of course, and see what Milan’s design culture had to offer. I saw so many innovative and thought-provoking furniture and lighting designs at the international fair my mind was overflowing (in a good way) the entire trip. I also really enjoyed attending “Zona Tortona”, a design fair that takes place along the streets in the heart of Milan. Italian food is my absolute favorite, so I was in heaven. At any given time you could probably find me with a cone of gelato in my hand.
